Mailroom Clerk

POSITION PURPOSE:
· The Mailroom Clerk is responsible for receiving, sorting and distributing mail throughout the organization.
They are also responsible for maintaining mailroom and office inventory.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Maintain inventory of office, mailing and printing supplies.
· Receive, sort and deliver mailings and shipments to their respective recipients.
· Collect all outgoing and interoffice mail from designated drop-off bins throughout the organization floors.
· Request and process mailing authorizations using the Funds’ mailing software.
· Operate printers, inserter, and postage machines to send out bulk mailings.
· Prepare, process, and handle outgoing shipments and certified mailings.
· Deliver mail and packages to the Post Office or designated courier drop off locations.
· Track and maintain records of mailings, created labels, and mailroom related invoices.
· Organize and maintain cleanliness of the mailroom.
· Carry or transfer heavy packages from the loading dock to their designated storage.
· Scan mailing related documents and records to the Funds’ document management system.
· Help staff with mailing related issues or concerns.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· High School Diploma or G.
E.
D.
Certificate.
· Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
· Inventory management or bookkeeping experience.
REQUIRED
· At least one (1) year of experience working in mailroom environment.
· Technical knowledge of printers, inserters, and postage machines.
· Ability to multitask and excellent time management.
· High attention to detail.
· Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

Physical Demand:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk; talk and hear, in person and by telephone; use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate computers and other standard office equipment; reach with hands or arms.
· Requires on-site attendance five (5) days a week.

Salary and Benefits:
Salary Range: $40,000 - $44,000
The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills, education, and experience.
