We are looking for a Full-Charge Bookkeeper/Accounts Payable with restaurant experience to join our growing accounting team! This position is flexible with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
The candidate can split their time between the office (2 days) and their home, making it a hybrid position, so long as they have access to the internet or they are welcome to come into the office full time! We do require the candidate to travel throughout New York City weekly.
*Job Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Accurate accounting and cash handling
* Timely entry of invoices/credits with proper GL ledger allocations
* Review of vendor statements
* Vendor payment via check/online portal/ach/wire following compliance rules for the NYS SLA
* Main liaison with vendors for billing/payment issues
* In office filing as well as achieves filing maintenance
*Qualifications:*
* Bookkeeping principles/knowledge needed
* Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Able to handle professional interactions with ownership, management and vendors.
* Strong organizational abilities
* Able to work in a team environment and welcome feedback
* Knowledge of accounting software, including Restaurant365.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Strong knowledge of math and computation skills
* Ability to learn new software and programs
* Ability to travel around New York City
* Knowledge and use of Restaurant365 software.
* Demonstrating accuracy and attention to details
* Multitasking and prioritizing as well as working independently
* Highly organized and with attention to detail
* Desire to learn
