Job Description
We are looking for an editor with credit card writing and editing experience to join the Forbes Marketplace team as Deputy Editor.
The Deputy Editor, Credit Cards would be responsible for writing and editing content that covers topics related to credit cards, credit and travel rewards, including credit card reviews, best credit card lists and news.
You’d be responsible for editing and assigning out content, generating story ideas, managing best product listings and product reviews and updating an existing library of content.
We want to help guide our readers to make the best choices through best-ofs, product reviews, engaging content and data- and SEO-driven journalism.

Responsibilities:
Help the lead editor build and scale credit card’s content efforts, including managing the day-to-day content workflow.
Find, recruit and set up new freelancers.
Train and support freelancers on how to use our tools and in-house style guides.
Work with the lead editor to build best practices for the credit cards editorial team, including content, templates and imagery.
Leverage data and SEO best practices to create monthly topics for freelancers that include explanatory content, how-tos, roundups, best-ofs, product reviews and more.
Edit and produce editorial content.
Build methodologies to rate and rank related products and services for best-ofs (example: Best Travel Credit Cards).
Requirements:
At least two years experience in credit card journalism.
Ideally, three-to-five years of experience with online journalism.
Demonstrably strong understanding of the credit card space.
Experience with SEO best practices, willingness to learn and expand SEO skills.
Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
Nimble and open to quick changes in strategy.
