Minimum Salary - $83,200.

The Role
This role is responsible for the preparation and analysis of statutory and regulatory filings for Aspen’s U.
S.
insurance entities and delivery of Aspen’s audited financial statements and business plans.
Key Accountabilities
Preparation of statutory and regulatory returns including quarterly and annual statements, and various other regulatory filings and ad hoc requests.
Preparation of statutory results analysis for each legal entity and contribute the information to the quarterly board deck compilation.
Model BCAR and RBC, prepare “what if” scenarios, assist with SST Levers and other risk monitoring measures.
Draft audited financial statements, submit PBC requests, and respond to auditor queries.
Participate in statutory planning and reforecasting activities on a quarterly and ad hoc basis.
Preparation of detailed working papers to support the review of regulatory filings.
Communicate results to line manager and provide visibility into details of underlying work, key assumptions and conclusions made.
Perform detailed validation work and analytical review on the data collected and address or escalate any unexpected results or inconsistencies in data.
Liaise and coordinate processes with other teams within Finance including GAAP Accounting, Treasury, FP&A and Tax to support reporting processes and resolution of ad-hoc queries
Skills & Experience
Degreed accountant with 4+ years experience in an accounting role within the insurance industry, statutory role preferred.
Strong understanding of US Statutory and GAAP.
Detailed understanding of insurance technical accounting and reporting.
Strong analytical skills and data mining capabilities
Advanced MS Excel, intermediate MS Word, PowerPoint.
Good communication skills.
General ledger experience is desirable.
Ability to work to meet fixed deadlines under pressure, which at times has overtime requirements
