We are seeking an Accounting Assistant with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience to join our team of dedicated professionals.
Location: This position can be based out of Manhattan (NY) on a hybrid basis.
Overview of Role: The Accounting Assistant is responsible for helping to computer, classify, and record financial transactions to ensure the financial records of assigned clients are accurate.
Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Perform credit card and bank reconciliations
Maintain electronic filing system
Some limited communication with vendors, clients, and client representatives via phone, email, and in-person
Print reports (such as financial statements) for review
Other projects and duties, as assigned
A successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1+ years of general accounting experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; Associate's degree is preferred
Excellent communication skills (in person, on the phone, and via email)
Sense of urgency
Keen eye for details
Ability to quickly shift gears without losing focus
Solid interpersonal skills and other key soft skills (i.
e.
, communication, time management, emotional intelligence, adaptability, active listening, critical-thinking, etc.
)
Experience with DataFaction and Agilink software is highly preferred

This is a non-exempt, overtime eligible position.
Employee compensation is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, employee education/training/credentials, employee work experience, work location (including if the employee will be hybrid or fully in-office), the scope and responsibilities of the role, internal peer equity, and market considerations.
Applicants will be considered for the Assistant, Bookkeeper, and Senior Bookkeeper level.
The expected base compensation hiring range for these positions is as follows:
Assistant Bookkeeper: $45,760 to $52,021 per year
Bookkeeper: $51,542 to $57,273 per year
Sr.
Bookkeeper: $55,058 to $75,275 per year
