Title: Senior Analytics Consultant Duties: The Senior Analytics Consultant at EXLService.
com, LLC in New York, NY will gather analytical data about business processes to develop new solutions for management to enhance efficiencies.
Extract knowledge and insights from data to investigate complex business problems through a range of data preparation, modeling, analysis and/or visualization techniques, including predictive analysis, business intelligence, pattern recognition, operational effectiveness and/or economic forecasting.
Develop hypotheses and validate them based on analysis of data.
Work with client business and technical leads to gather functional requirements.
Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards related to client-specific applications.
Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best computer application solution and solve problems.
Perform external research and communications with management teams and present findings to senior management.
Perform project task management including communications (deck writing), coordination of all sub-team efforts, delivery of output, facilitation and gathering of client feedback on problem structuring, and effective management of frequency of feedback loop with offshore resources.
Analyze the client’s data and processes recommend management solutions to help the organization operate more efficiently and effectively.
Provide training and assistance to users for the generation of required reports.
Identify the right data sources required to inform relevant insights, metrics and understand key business trends.
Import raw data from client data warehouses and databases into statistical analysis software.
Turn the data into usable information by translating or explaining what it means and how it can be used.
Build solid understanding of data required to execute analyses by studying or creating data dictionaries, establishing reliability and relevance of data.
Process data by coding, compilation, calculation, tabulation, and verification and make recommendations to management through presentations or reports.
Utilize visualization software, charts, tables, and other tools to highlight key trends and recommendations.
Partner with EXL senior managers to aggregate all relevant insights into actionable strategic recommendations for the client.
Utilize EXL analytics methodologies and analysis tools, such as SAS, R, SPSS, SQL, Hive, Python CART, Teradata, Hadoop, MS office including Excel and PowerPoint, to perform all of the following: data extraction, data understanding, variable reduction, Big Data processing, data analysis, model development, model stabilization, and model validation, summarization, visualization and presentation to carry out analysis and drive conclusions and reformulate highly technical information into concise, understandable terms for presentation to the team and the client.
Utilize EXL data analytics software models and macros, as well as our proprietary applications such as MICROANALYTICS™.
Position may work at various and unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.
Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the United States.
Salary: $163,238 per year.
Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or closely related IT field, plus five years of big data analytics experience.
Employer will also accept a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or closely related IT field, plus two years of big data analytics experience.
Must include two years of experience in: 1) Power BI to develop visualizations for sales and marketing business area; 2) Cognos Analytics to create dashboards supporting client requirements; 3) Python, Jupyter Notebooks, PySpark to curate data products for end user prototype needs; 4) Oozie and Autosys for end-to-end data pipeline and report automation; 5) performing data curation in snowflake or Big Query; 6) building data applications using Dockers deployed on K8’s; and 7) Creating HQL and PostgreSQL to perform analysis.
