Role Description
SMBC is hiring a Reconciliations Associate within the CFTC Trade Reporting team.
The team will be responsible for building and maintaining reconciliations across the bank using various reconciliation tools.
The Associate’s primary responsibility will be to support and enhance current reconciliations as well as build new reconciliations for teams across the bank.
The candidate should have functional knowledge of supporting a reconciliation processes.
Role Objectives
Support teams across the bank in maintaining, updating and enhancing reconciliations process and procedures
Work with teams across the bank to build new reconciliations to enhance controls and data integrity
Create procedures to allow reconciliations to be released to production to the appropriate teams upon completion of the build
Document reconciliations and mappings to ensure ease of communication with compliance personnel and auditors
Work with compliance in evaluating new products, services, and other Front Office initiatives
Maintain systems project schedule with our Business Analyst team
Qualifications and Skills
Ability to incorporate guidance from multiple sources into day-to-day workstreams
Ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terms
Experience in reconciling large data sets
Proficiency in Excel
Experience using Duco is preferred
3-5 years of relevant work experience is preferred
