We're hiring a Senior Accountant, Accounting to join our Accounting team.

About the role
The Senior Accountant, Accounting executes monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc accounting deliverables.
You will report to the Manager, Accounting.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office ( in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Ave), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week.
Otherwise, this is a remote / work-from-home role.
You must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.

Pay Transparency:
The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $88,800 - $116,550 per year.
The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $79,920 - $104,895 per year.
You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
Quarterly and Year-end Close
Build monthly journal entries and reconciliation of all accounts.
Review work completed by Accounting Analysts.
Execution of the monthly close process, including analytics and related financial statement disclosures.
Maintain internal control procedures.
Other
Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance on all accounting matters.
Identify process improvement opportunities.
Partner with our Financial Systems team to create and build automation opportunities and efficiencies.
Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience.
3+ years of related experience.
Bonus Points
Experience in a similar position at a health insurance company.
Certified Public Accountant licensure (CPA).

Pay Transparency:
Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
