How will you make an impact in this role? The Global Treasury Controllership (GTC) team is part of the American Express Global Controllership Organization.
GTC plays a significant role in the Middle and Back-office treasury functions, financial reporting processes for the Company’s cash, debt, securities and financing transactions, investments, and derivatives ensuring the Capital, Liquidity and Exposure Management needs of the company are met while closely partnering with Treasury Organization.
This analyst role is within the Treasury Advisory, Valuations & Reporting of GTC and is responsible for supporting SEC and regulatory reporting.
The individual is also responsible for ensuring appropriate and consistent reporting across the Company’s Treasury portfolio and will support key dynamic projects across the team.
Responsibilities include: Support the company’s ongoing reporting initiatives that impacting GTC (debt, investment, derivative and hedging transactions and AOCI) Preparation of detailed analytics of portfolio shared with Senior Leadership, Global Treasury and Auditor Support and the company’s growing external reporting requirements Support the ongoing project plans for GTC team Participate in projects driving automation and process enhancements Build and maintain successful collaboration with business partners, e.

Treasury, External Reporting, Exposure Management, Global Accounting Policy Group, Legal and Tax Document procedures and maintain compliance with reporting controls Support on internal and external audit Minimum Qualifications 1+ experience in Audit, Accounting, or Finance – Big 4 experience or CPA preferred Project management experience a plus Basic understanding of US GAAP accounting required Very strong communication, prioritization, presentation, and organizational skills Strong analytical skills are required Possess abilities to challenge the status quo and apply a process-improvement mindset Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint Working knowledge of Oracle, Tableau and MS Access, a plus Experience in Treasury/Treasury Controllership and/or knowledge of capital markets a plus, but not required Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance Non-considerations for sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.

Salary Range: $55,000.
00 to $105,000.
