We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Accountant to join our New York City office.
This person would help to support our Construction Services group and will play an integral role in conducting all payroll functions for the organization, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with regulations.
Individual will work under general supervision.

Responsibilities
Verifying employee timesheet charges
Entering manual timesheet entries into Deltek Vision
Ensures accurate updates of records, including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes
Maintaining and verifying employee Paid time off balances
Processing and verifying 401k loans
Reconciling year to date employees’ gross pay to General Ledger Balances
Maintaining and setting up employee tax deductions
Attending to payroll inquiries from employees
Processing payroll through ADP platform
Reviewing and processing employee expense reports
Assisting in general ledger preparation
Assist in audits as needed
Other projects as they arise
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Up to two years of experience advantageous but not required
ADP experience (preferred)
Must be a self-starter, detail oriented and organized
Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills essential
Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including experience in Microsoft Office suite and accounting software
Ability to read and interpret documents and interact with co-workers
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations
Attention to detail is a critical skill for the Accountant
Benefits
Salary range — $60,000-70,000 annually.
Commensurate with experience.
