The Accounting Department at AKRF is seeking a full time Accounting Clerk to work in our New York City Office.
Job Responsibilities:
Record financial transactions accurately and efficiently into the accounting system.
Verify, process, and reconcile Vendor invoices and payments.
Verify, process, and reconcile Clients’ payments.
Assist in maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Perform data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks related to accounting.
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
Assist Project Accountants with projects’ settings and other project administrator tasks.
Essential Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
Minimum 0-2 years of experience.
Collaborate effectively with project managers, projects accountants, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with team members to resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Perform other basic accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Proficient in performing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
Understanding of credit and collection procedures.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in managing large volumes of data and maintaining accurate records.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated integrity and ethical behavior in handling sensitive financial information.
Ability to make sound decisions based on analysis and assessment of customer accounts.
Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Ability to adapt to changing regulations, procedures, and software systems.
Willingness to learn and implement new collection strategies and tools.
Flexibility to handle a diverse range of customer accounts and industries.
Compensation will range from $25hr-$32hr, dependent upon experience and roles and responsibilities.
