Finance Operations Analyst (New York, NY)
Glencore is a natural resource energy trading company.
Our back office supports our US trading and operations staff.
Position Responsibilities:
Perform core settlement functionality for the trading business, executing payables and raising receivable invoices
Ensure payments are made and received in a timely fashion
Work with external and external counterparts to resolve pricing and operational discrepancies.
Assist treasury functions with timely cash application
Conduct research on settlement differences using internal systems, public information and contractual details.
Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
Perform ad-hoc analysis and other job-related duties as assigned
Participate in special projects impacting Finance Department.
Position Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
Minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience
Problem Solving – Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, and maintain confidentiality
Consistent ownership of assigned work.
Attention to detail and willingness to learn
Communication – Must display strong verbal and written communication skills

Compensation:
The expected base salary ranges from $70K -$80K.
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained.
Market and organizational factors are also considered.
In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
