Staff Accountant

Are you looking for a dynamic accountant role in NYC? We have a growing company in the media retail industry aggressively searching for an accountant.
The Billing Accountant will have a range of responsibilities, but the primary function will be to manage the billing of assigned projects.
The Billing Accountant will report directly to the Controller.
The preferred location for this role is in Manhattan.
Responsibilities: • Prepare and submit monthly client invoices.
• Follow up on overdue AR balances and ensure that clients are fully satisfied with each invoice.
• Participate in month end procedures.
• Research and resolve billing issues with external and internal clients.
• Maintain companys billing files.
• Perform monthly general ledger review and account reconciliations.
• Perform audit support for internal and external audits.
• Maintain effective communication within the organization and with external vendors .
Qualifications: • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum two years of relevant accounting experience required.
• Intermediate or Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to identify and solve problems, work independently, learn about all components of contract implementation, and find ways to improve efficiencies with accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, attention to detail, verbal, and written communication skills.
