We are looking for a Payroll Resolution Specialist for our Finance team.
This is a hybrid or fully remote role with the option of regular commute to our New York office or the FreedomCare hub closest to you.
Department & Position Overview: FreedomCare provides pay and benefits to caregivers who care for their friends or family members who quality under Medicaid and State Health Plans.
From time to time, our caregivers have questions about their pay and need support to resolve their pay issues and questions appropriately.
FreedomCare's Payroll Resolution team in our Finance department are the point-of-contact, responsible to resolve caregiver payroll questions, issues and address and resolve escalations in a timely, problem-solving manner.
Newly hired Payroll Resolution Specialists with no prior FreedomCare Care Team experience will go through foundations training for approximately 2-3 months before transitioning to their Payroll Resolution Specialist role.
Every Day You Will: Handle caregiver payroll issues with a goal of a one-call resolution Spend most of the day taking calls from caregivers related to payroll issues; time may also be spent logging calls with case history when issues cannot be resolved on the spot In addition, part of the role is dedicated to actions of troubleshooting and performing duties related to resolution (such as adjustments, direct deposits inserts, determine service codes and other routine payrolls tasks) to resolve the given issue with the goal of a one-call resolution Manage more complex issues (approximately half of all calls) which involve research, in-depth troubleshooting analysis to find the solution and perform action to effectively close the issue Work on backlog cases to categorize, diagnosis root causes, develop steps and action plans for resolution with the goal to reduce open issues De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied caregivers by explaining what actions are required to properly resolve issues and perform follow-up tasks to fully resolve and close issues Work closely with the internal department to ensure a smooth process transition and operate with a high-level of communication to ensure full-service deliverables related to caregiver payroll needs Ideal Candidate Will Possess: Exceptional time management skills and ability to multitask to manage priorities and deliverables Empathy and compassion when speaking with caregivers to resolve payroll issues Strong mathematical and calculation skills Both data and deadline-driven with a strong attention to detail Ability and desire to work collaboratively across departments; strong customer service skills; convey confident communication skills Ability to manage priorities and deliverables that are time sensitive Proven ability to be productive under stressful situations Demonstrated a strong work ethic and ability to take full ownership Proven background of going above and beyond to "do the right thing" for patients and caregivers and showing commitment to resolve issues Ability to quickly convey a sense of confidence to caregivers with strong communication skills Why work at FreedomCare? #INDHV At FreedomCare, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
This provides our employees with the opportunity to professionally grow and develop within a role.
The base pay range for this role is between $18.
00 and $23.
00 an hour at the commencement of your first year of employment.
Compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure/certifications.
