AdTheorent is seeking a high performing Senior Accountant to join our Finance team! We are looking for a highly motivated individual who thrives working in a fast-paced, high growth environment and enjoys being a team player.
The Senior Accountant reports to the VP, External Reporting.
In this role you will actively support the Company’s external reporting function and the internal month end close process.
While this role is primarily remote, please note you may be required to come into the NY office 1 day per month for an onsite Finance team meeting.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation and tie-out procedures of the financial statements, footnote disclosures, and the MD&A for quarterly and annual filings with the SEC on Forms 10-Q and 10-K
Assist with Investor Relations function (assist with the preparation and tie-out of quarterly earnings releases, CEO/CFO scripts, investor presentation material, etc.
)
Prepare US GAAP SEC disclosure checklist for each 10-Q/10-K filing
Prepare and maintain certain monthly GL reconciliations and analysis; complete monthly close procedures; compile and post detailed journal entries
Generate customer invoices, credit memos and issue timely statements
Assist with documentation and maintenance of SOX controls for certain cycles, including (but not limited to), financial reporting, accounts receivable, leasing, equity, and equity compensation.
Assist in the maintenance the Company’s equity compensation program
Support internal and external audits by providing audit schedules, support, and responding to inquiries
Prepare quarterly accounting memos
Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards and company policies across functional teams
Analyze accounting and financial reporting implications of complex accounting topics including (but not limited to) revenue recognition, leasing, and stock-based compensation, and goodwill testing and impairment
Maintain detailed Excel spreadsheets and supporting schedules
Participate in special projects and provide support to other groups in the finance organization on an as needed basis
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in public accounting working with SEC registered companies, (e.
g.
, prior Big 4 public accounting or large regional firm preferred).
Combined public/industry experience will be considered.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Active CPA (or currently pursuing CPA) preferred
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting along with proven ability to document and implement technical accounting and financial reporting standards.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Must be organized multi-tasker with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Knowledge of XBRL tagging a plus
Knowledge of DFIN Active Disclosure a plus
Experience with Salesforce a plus

Compensation range: $90-110K base + 20% bonus potential.

The confirmed salary will be commensurate with experience, education, skills, and other factors.
This is subject to change, but will be no less than the minimum stated.
