Reporting directly to the head of Enterprise Execution, this role is a unique opportunity to commercialize the untapped potential of BNYM’s data assets and drive innovation within the financial markets.
Responsibilities: Strategy and Vision: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to enhance data utilization and generate actionable insights that align with the organization's objectives.
Collaborate with leadership to define the long-term vision for data-driven decision-making and innovation across BNY Mellon.
Identify and Execute Commercial Outcomes from Our Diverse Data Assets: Lead efforts to extract maximum value from our vast and diverse datasets, uncovering hidden opportunities meaningful insights, and emerging risks for the benefits of BNYM leadership and our clients.
Innovation and Data Questioning: Challenge conventional thinking by questioning data assumptions and exploring alternative approaches to problem-solving.
Stay at the forefront of data analytics trends and methodologies to introduce innovative techniques that drive business growth.
Data-Centric Approach: Foster a data-centric culture across the organization, advocating for data-driven decision-making at all levels.
Empower teams to embrace data as a strategic asset, driving continuous improvement and leveraging data insights for competitive advantage.

Qualifications: Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Business or a related field is required.
Experience in the financial services industry, with a strong understanding of financial markets, products, and services.
Proven track record of success in developing and executing data strategies that drive commercial outcomes and generate analytical insights.
Ability to convert technical data analytics into ‘easy to understand’ communications across a wide range of constituents.
Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, along with a deep understanding of data management and governance principles.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams to adopt a data-centric approach.
Demonstrated ability to question data and identify innovative solutions, even in complex and uncertain environments.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees.
The base salary for this position is expected to be between $136,500 and $450,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
