seeks an Investment Banking Associate for its New York, New York location.
Duties: Analyze companies’ financial statements, perform valuations through Discounted Cash Flow Analysis, Comparable Companies and Precedent Transactions to evaluate strategic alternatives.
Assist seniors with client development, creating complex financial analysis and performing detailed valuation analysis including synergy analysis and accretion/dilution models to guide prices in non-binding offer letters.
Track business development and map macroeconomic factors in Latin America and domestic markets to predict trends and market behaviors.
Manage team communication and organization on M&A advisory including the preparation of initial pitch materials, conflict clearance, NDAs, and business memo generation across a variety of industries.
Work with seniors on the strategic approach to mandates to prepare marketing materials including the teaser, confidential information memorandum and management presentation to create positioning theses and accurately market the deal to potential investors.
Draw conclusions from first and final round bids to be communicated in high-level negotiation meetings to determine the best sale strategy.
Evaluate relevant legal documentations and review relevant clauses in legal documents including non-binding offers, non-disclosure agreements and corporate governance term sheets.
A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or related field and 2 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience as an Investment Banking Analyst, Banking Program Analyst or related position involving investment banking for large corporate clients in LATAM.
2 years of experience must include: Valuation and Credit Analysis; Financial Modelling; Microeconomic Concepts; Financial Markets; Execution of IPOs, SPACs, DeSPACs, M&A, Private Placements; FactSet, Bloomberg Terminal; Project Management; Microsoft Office products’ advance tools.
At least 1 year of experience must include: Structured finance products: borrowing base facilities and trade finance; Capital IQ.
5% of international and domestic travel required.
