After School Counselor

The Brooklyn Music School is currently seeking experienced after-school counselors to join our Arts Reaching Youth program team.
* Monday through Thursday availability _mandatory_.
* Pay is $19/hr.
* The position is an in-person position.
* Candidates must have experience and be comfortable with working in a school setting with children ranging from 4 to 10 years old.
* Candidates must be comfortable with walking to nearby schools, picking up enrolled students and bringing them back to the BMS site.
* Candidates must provide a positive role model for children by exhibiting proper behavior and demeanor.
* Candidates must ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children in the program by providing close supervision of all activities.
* Candidates must work as a member of a professional team that provides a growth promoting environment for all children.
* Candidates will be assisting children with homework, as well as assisting our teaching artists in music classes.
* Candidates with experience with music (i.
e.
playing an instrument, composing, digital music software, etc.
) are preferred.
Job Type: Part-time Pay: $19.
