*Job Description:*
Brooklyn Global Prep is looking for Lead Infant / Toddler teachers for our Mandarin Chinese and French program (children approximately 1-2.
5 years old).
The candidate should embody the school’s mission to create a child-centric haven that utilizes language immersion, creative open spaces, nature, art and music to continue the path of happy, culturally diverse, open-minded global thinkers and forever learners.
The successful candidate will:
* Lead a classroom (infants or young toddlers) in French or Mandarin Chinese in a fun and engaging way using a variety of hands on approaches to learning,
* Support with the cycles of care related to infant and young toddler care including feeding, changing, soothing children and more,
* Using the Reggio Emilia approach, expose children to a wide variety of educational opportunities that encourage self-expression, communication, logical thinking, and problem-solving,
* Ensure city and state compliance at all times,
* Stay up to date on innovative practices, systems, and technologies in ECE to support implement new and cutting-edge concepts,
* Additional duties as needed for this role.
*Position Qualifications & Requirements: *
* Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA preferred,
* 3-5 years of experience in a preschool or daycare working with infants, babies, or young toddlers,
* Fluent Mandarin Chinese or French speaker,
* Have experience caring for young children.
This includes changing diapers, feeding, soothing children, etc.

* Exceptional communication skills and the ability to articulate and embody the mission of Brooklyn Global Prep to staff, parents, and community members,
* Ability to meet physical requirements of position which include lifting children, year-round daily physical activities, and more,
* Ability to play an instrument preferred but not required,
* NYS Birth - 2 Certification preferred but not required,
* Certifications in CPR, First Aid and Mental Health are preferred but not required.
