Calling all artists, coders, and creative professionals with a passion for teaching! Gx Studio Labs is currently seeking new instructors to teach hands-on, introductory engineering courses for our after-school clients.
Using a custom-designed and proprietary curriculum, instructors will impart age-specific STEAM concepts and skills to students with the hope of guiding their future education interests.
Gx Studio Labs provides instructional services, workshops, and curriculum to select schools and organizations, with a focus on teaching digital technology and design and engineering to elementary students.
The core focus of our program offerings usually focuses on Animation, Game Design, and 3D Design concepts.
Instructors will be expected to learn and teach from the provided curriculum, as well as maintain a fun and safe classroom environment for students ranging from grades K-5.
Qualified instructors must be fun, tech-savvy, have a creative mind, and be excited about the future of STEAM education in the school system.
Gx Studio Labs is dedicated to creating, teaching, and making the art of interactive media and engineering more accessible to people from all walks of life.
*Responsibilities:*
* Effectively manage a STEAM-based classroom with 8 to 12 students.
* Engage students in fun and relevant lessons based on established curriculum and specific classroom needs.
* Use provided STEAM curriculum to lead students in project-based learning activities
* Facilitate and encourage positive student behavior and clubhouse rules during class.
* Maintain a positive relationship with all client school staff and student families.
* Regularly communicate with the After School Director to discuss student progress, needs, and any concerns that may arise.
* Keep Gx Studios administrative staff updated on all matters pertaining to the satisfaction of the client, program effectiveness, and student satisfaction.
*Requirements:*
* Recent college graduate with STEAM, Education, or Creative degree field / or incoming college Senior with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Arts Education, or other highly relevant fields.
* Experience working with or tutoring students ranging from K-6.
* Candidates must be punctual and professional at all times.
* Position contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
* Preferred consideration will be given to candidates with a minimum of one year of experience teaching STEAM-related programming to elementary school-aged children in a group setting.
