Summer Early Childhood Teacher

Summary The Summer Early Childhood Classroom Teacher creates a fun and safe environment where children learn about their world through art, music, and stories.
The teacher cares for children and plans activities that support social and emotional development, and maintains good relationships with fellow staff and with families to support and encourage children?s learning.
The summer classroom teacher works full time Mon - Fri for six weeks.
Duties Implement developmentally appropriate activities based on children's interests and needs under the direction of the Program Director Supervise children at all times Maintain a safe and caring environment Communicate, listen, and work well with others in a team environment.
Develop positive relationships with the children and their families.
Observe and document children's interests and progress Help children with personal needs such as eating, toileting, napping Follow all program policies and procedures Requirements Minimum of 18 years of age High School Degree or Equivalent.
Bachelor's degree preferred Experience working with children Ability to maintain a positive learning environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Required criminal history background check and proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien stat Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs Nice To Haves Early Childhood Education coursework or degree CDA Bilingual
