*Polisher Job Opening at Beefbar*
Beefbar, a premier upscale restaurant, is seeking a Polisher to join our team.
The Polisher is responsible for ensuring all glassware, flatware, and plateware is inspected, polished to a shine, and in perfect condition before service.
*Responsibilities:*
* Inspect all cleaned items from the dish pit for flaws and remove any defective pieces
* Polish glassware, flatware, plateware, metallic grills/equipment, and kitchen items to a pristine condition
* Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the dish pit area, including cleaning ice/coffee/water stations and refrigerators
* Complete assigned opening/closing side work and maintain polishing tools
* Provide exceptional guest service and hospitality
* Ensure adherence to Department of Health sanitation standards
* Perform other duties as assigned
*Requirements:*
* 2+ years of experience in an upscale, high-volume restaurant
* Ability to lift 50 lbs, walk/stand for extended periods
* Availability to work weekends, nights, holidays as needed
* Strong English communication skills
* Professional appearance and grooming per company standards
* Knowledge of safety procedures and NY health codes
* High school diploma or GED
*Compensation:* $19.
