POSITION SUMMARY: This position will work Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 1pm to 9pm.
The job duties as a hospitality aide involve taking care of Residents in our Rockaway Park long-term care facility, cleaning the facilities and equipment, and providing personal grooming and hygiene assistance to the residents.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior (Long Term Care) or any Healthcare experience is desirable.
Strong written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and be flexible.
Able to communicate effectively across all levels of Residents, staff, and management.
Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
Home health experience is a plus.
Valid Driver's License
Good Judgment and Critical Thinking skills
Must be fully COVID vaccinated.
ESSENTIAL Duties and Responsibilities (include, but is not limited to):
Provide residents with routine services in accordance with their day-to-day routine.
Assist with Dining, Community and in the Recreation areas.
Clean up the Dining, Community, and Recreation areas.
Serve as a liaison, communicating to all departments.
Report any identified any changes in condition promptly to the Charge Nurse.
Report all observed, or allegations in accordance with policy and procedure.
Adhere to and practice safety, sanitation, and infection control practices.
Answer the telephone and monitor the floor.
Participates in safety/emergency training programs provided by management.
Supports and carries out the Congregation's mission, affirms its importance and value, and carries out all interactions in a manner that is reflective of the mission of the Sisters of St.
Joseph.
Performs other related duties as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Intermittent sitting, standing, and walking.
Ability to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods of time.
Lifting and moving materials up to 35 lbs.
Time spent on phone, emailing, or texting.
Occasionally bend, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
