TSA Driver certification with a proven knowledge of TSA protocols delivering time critical, temperature-controlled deliveries to JFK, EWR and LaGuardia is a requirement of this role.
Position Summary
The Driver will report to the Cold Chain Manager and focus on the pick-up and delivery of CRYOPDP temperature-controlled shipments between CRYOPDPs Logistics Center and client locations, including but not limited to, airport drops and recoveries.
Main Contribution:
Delivery of a wide variety of pharma shipments on assigned routes
Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle
Communicate directly with clients during delivery and pick-up assignments
Follow all DOT and safety standards
Ensure all traffic laws are followed
Ensure all loads are secure in the delivery vehicle at all times
Comply with all TSA Regulations such as planned route, and locking vehicle at all times
Complete driver logs and reports as assigned
Perform other duties as assigned
Liaise with Clients, Vendors and Staff (at all levels), etc.
Requirements:
High School Diploma
Previous operations experience within the Pharma Logistics industry
2 years’ minimum experience, with proven track record as a Delivery Driver
English language proficiency
Specific Experience & Knowledge Required:
Knowledge of GMP and GDP
Knowledge of Temp Controlled Shipments
Knowledge of Temp Controlled Vehicles
Knowledge of the geographic area
Experience tendering shipments to Airlines
Strong understanding of TSA Regulations
Interpersonal skills (Essential):
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong work ethic and ability to deliver results
Ability to drive and operate a 10 foot delivery truck
Team Player who embraces and champions the CRYOPDP culture
Exceptional organizational and active listening skills
