Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain a variety of commercial vehicles, including manual transmission trucks such as dump trucks, tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, and tankers.
- Safely transport goods and materials to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating vehicles.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in proper working order.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being operated.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial driver, preferably with experience in heavy equipment operation.
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past 3 years.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of load securement techniques and safe handling practices for various types of cargo.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Please note that this position is for owner operators, meaning you will be responsible for providing your own truck.
