APPRENTICE/FRONT DESK POSITION FOR ASPIRING BARBERS IN UPSCALE SHOP! (BROOKLYN)

Hey there! We are looking for an awesome person to join our team over at Blue&Black.
About us- We provide high quality barber services in an elevated, yet cool environment with a focus on unique personal care products and retail.
We opened our doors about 10 years ago and we have grown to become one of the best barbershops in the city.
The gig- This is a full time position as a receptionist/front desk that will phase into a barber position.
During your time with us you will be trained on cutting various hair types and you will learn techniques and styling from our talented barbers and stylists.
Our training program typically lasts 12 months.
This apprenticeship will be licensed by the state.
The ideal candidate should have- - Customer service skills - Multitasking skills - Sales experience - An interest in barbering and grooming products - A strong work ethic We are looking for a team player who is friendly and self motivated.
You will be working long hours and be on your feet most of the day completing tasks around the shop.
This is a full time position to start.
The job can be fast paced at times and requires physical labor (be able to lift 40lbs), multitasking as well as clerical skills.
