SUMMARY
ELEMIS is seeking a Summer intern to join our dynamic HR team, focusing on creating and preparing HR and employee engagement documents and initiatives.
This role offers an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience and immerse yourself in the intricacies of a fast-paced HR environment.
As our HR intern, you will collaborate closely with our team to design and develop HR communications, conduct competitor analysis research, and provide support during onboarding/offboarding processes as needed.
You will gain invaluable insights into the operational aspects of a compact yet bustling HR department within a flourishing beauty brand that places emphasis on the well-being of its people.
You will be entrusted with managing crucial administrative tasks and taking on spontaneous assignments that contribute to the overarching objectives and initiatives of the ELEMIS HR department.
Moreover, you will have the chance to refine your communication skills while working with employees and managers.
The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional project management abilities, demonstrating the capability to effectively juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
A commitment of up to 20 hours per week is required, with office presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (2 to 3 days in office).
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with carrying out current HR processes with attention to detail.
Assists with planning and developing new HR process with a focus on time optimization.
Prepare correspondence as required.
Organize and file documents into appropriate employee files.
Assists with preparation of employee communications.
Uses strong decision-making skills to communicate with cross departmental teams.
Thoroughly proofread and verify both outbound and inbound new hire onboarding information.
Formulate feedback surveys for broader employee engagement and wellness initiatives, utilizing data and analytical skills to drive enhancements.
Uses solution-based thinking towards current projects and assignments.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & CHARACTERISTICS
Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
Curiosity of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and positive approach about their career.
Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Proactively seeks opportunities to enhance efficiency, taking initiative and willingly embracing new responsibilities.
Strong team player.

Keen interest in the Beauty industry.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work in normal office conditions.
Must be able to commit up to 20 hours a week.
