The Actors Theatre Workshop (ATW), an award-winning non-profit theater, community center,
and educational institution in Chelsea, New York City that has been serving the community for
over 30 years, is offering a great opportunity to the theatre students to work with our
Founder/Artistic Director and award-winning Theatre Artist Thurman E.
Scott.
We are looking for a male actor/student/graduate assistant to run lines with him on an
important play in development for our play reading over the course of the next 2 weeks for
10-15 hours per week.
A small stipend will be provided from us, and further discussed upon
selecting the student.
Kindly email to ATW with your acting/experience resume
The play in question We Are One, written and performed by Thurman E.
Scott, is a journey
between four families living across continents and centuries, experiencing the profound
ramifications of slavery and its enduring impact.
From the intimate family struggles to the
broader societal implications, the play is a powerful exploration of prejudice, truth, and unity.
The performances will take place March 28th and April 11th, 7:30-9:30 P.
M.
This would be a memorable learning experience as you would get the opportunity to work with a
renowned Theatre artist and get hands-on experience in the process of an original play in
development.
